SUPPLY, INSTALL, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF BROADCAST SYSTEM FOR RTB NEW BROADCASTING COMPLEX

Against intense competition from international bidders, Electro-Acoustics Systems Pte Ltd (EAS) was awarded the contract for the Broadcasting System for Radio Television Brunei’s (RTB) new Broadcasting Complex. The multi-million contract involves equipping the complex with the latest video, audio and graphics systems.

With over 25 years of experience, EAS is able to propose a state-of-art broadcasting system which ensures premium quality to suit RTB’s needs.

The vision mixer deployed has a fully integrated 4 channel Digital Video Effects (DVE) for each mix/effects (M/E) bus, which allows RTB to generate key signals from any incoming SDI signal, or from an external key input to the mixer.  This premium mixer also contains an integrated Still Store with storage for access to over 100 full frame pictures.

A central monitoring and control system that provides user configurable alarms through a PC is also included to allow easy operation of all equipment.

In answer to RTB’s special need to control the system remotely from various locations, EAS has also provided a Matrix system that can be easily expanded to include at least 6 technical areas.  It also allows remote communication from the main system to the existing RTB HQ and Transmission sites .

The new complex, located at Sungei Akar was completed in 2008.
